Shams-i Tabrīzī (Persian: شمس تبریزی‎) or Shams al-Din Mohammad (1185–1248) was a Persian poet, who is credited as the spiritual instructor of Mewlānā Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Balkhi, also known as Rumi and is referenced with great reverence in Rumi’s poetic collection, in particular Diwan-i Shams-i Tabrīzī (The Works of Shams of Tabriz). Hazrat Shah Shams Tabrizi R.A is the 21st grandson of Imam Ali A.S and those knowledge that from Imam Jafar Sadiq A.S generation by generation reached him and were giving them that book shape so that human guidance could be done and those that are knowledge lovers can be provided a path of learning knowledge.
